Eight years after Boerum Hill’s historic Church of the Redeemer closed its doors, and three years after the Civil War-era structure was torn down, a new building is poised to rise on the site.

Adam America Real Estate, which purchasedthe site at 561 Pacific Street in 2017, has brought on its frequent collaborator ODA New York for the project. Dubbed Five Six One Pacific, the condo is due to launch sales sometime this summer and just launched a teaser website.
In the meantime, Curbed has the first look at the development, which—in signature ODA style—will have an abundance of outdoor space thanks to a series of balconies scattered throughout the exterior. According to Adam America’s Omri Sachs, this was intentional; the design “takes its cues from its location—a classic, tree-lined street in Boerum Hill,” according to the developer.
The 12-story building will have 63 units total—a breakdown of types and prices is not yet available—along with 5,000 square feet of amenities, including a fitness center, roof deck, and a landscaped interior courtyard. “The goal was to give traditional materials a modern context for the exterior, while creating a Japanese-inspired interior courtyard that invites the natural world into the lobby and amenities,” Sachs says. Ground-floor retail and parking will also be included.
Timing-wise, sales will launch this summer (Halstead’s Aguayo Team is on those), and residents should be moving in by 2020
